Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The compensation (diyah) for a completely severed nose is one hundred camels, for a hand fifty, for a leg fifty, for a head wound reaching the membrane or inside the brain the compensation is one third of the full diyah, for a wound reaching inside the abdomen the compensation is one third of the full diyah, for a broken bone the compensation is fifteen camels, for a wound exposing the bone five, for a tooth five, and for each finger the compensation is ten camels."
