Hadith 4082
- " العقل على العصبة، وفي السقط غرة: عبد أو أمة ".
Sayyiduna Haml bin Nabighah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he had two wives, (one named) Lihyaniyyah and (the other named) Muawiyah, who was from the tribe of Muawiyah bin Zaid. Both of them gathered somewhere and became jealous of each other. So Muawiyah picked up a stone and struck Lihyaniyyah with it. She was pregnant; when the stone hit her, she died and her unborn child was miscarried. Haml bin Malik said to Imran bin Uwaymir: "Pay the blood money for my wife." Both of them took their dispute to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blood money is upon the 'asaba (male relatives) of the (killer) woman, and for the unborn child, the blood money is a slave man or slave woman."
