Hadith 4079
- " الرؤيا ثلاث، منها أهاويل من الشيطان ليحزن بها ابن آدم ومنها ما يهم به الرجل في يقظته فيراه في منامه ومنها جزء من ستة وأربعين جزءا من النبوة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Dreams are of three types: (1) Frightening dreams from Satan, by which he disturbs the servant; (2) Matters about which a person thinks during his wakefulness, then he sees them in his sleep; and (3) Some dreams are one forty-sixth part of prophethood."
