Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Which migration (hijrah) is the best? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "That you abandon what Allah the Exalted dislikes. And there are two types of migration: the migration of the townsman and the migration of the villager. As for the villager, when he is commanded, he obeys, and when he is called, he responds. But the townsman faces more trials and tribulations, and he is superior in reward and merit."
