Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People will be raised on the Day of Resurrection, and I and my Ummah will be on a mound. Allah, the Exalted, will clothe me in a green garment. Then I will be granted permission, and I will say whatever Allah wills. This is the Praised Station (Maqam Mahmood)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Intercession is the Praised Station."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the sun will come close (and it will come so close that) due to its heat, the flowing sweat will reach up to the middle of a man's ears. In that state, they will call upon Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) for help. He will say: I am not fit for this. Then they will call upon Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), and he will also give the same reply. Then, when they call upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), you (O Muhammad) will intercede for the creation. You will proceed and hold the rings of Paradise. On that day, Allah, the Exalted, will raise you to the Praised Station (Maqam Mahmood), and all people will praise you."
