Silsilah Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person from among the people of Paradise will be brought, and Allah Almighty will say to him: 'O son of Adam! How did you find your abode?' He will say: 'O my Lord! It is the best abode.' Allah Almighty will say: 'Ask and wish for more.' He will say: 'What should I ask for and what should I wish for? Yes, if You return me to the world (then it is fine) so that I may be martyred ten times in Your path.' He will express this wish because of the virtue and honor of martyrdom. Then a person from among the people of Hell will be brought. Allah Almighty will ask: 'How did you find your abode?' He will say: 'O my Lord! It is the worst abode.' The Lord Almighty will say: 'Will you give the earth full of gold to be freed from it?' He will say: 'Yes, O my Lord!' Allah Almighty will say: 'You are lying, I had asked you for something less and easier than this, but you did not fulfill that either.' Then he will be returned to the Fire."
