Different levels of Hell's punishment
Hadith 4005
- (إنّ منهم من تأخذه النارُ إلى كعبيه، [ومنهم من تأخذه النار إلى ركبتيه] ، ومنهم من تأخذه إلى حُجْزَته، ومنهم من تأخذه إلى عنقه) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The Fire will burn some of the people of Hell up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to their waists, and some up to their necks."
