Silsilah Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If a man dies before the completion of his creation (i.e., in an incomplete state) or after reaching extreme old age, and people are (generally) between these two ages, (in any case, on the Day of Resurrection) he will be raised as a young man of thirty years of age. If he is among the people of Paradise, he will be in the form of Adam (peace be upon him), in the appearance of Yusuf (peace be upon him), and with the heart of Ayyub (peace be upon him). And if he is among the people of Hell, his body will be made as great and massive as a mountain."

Imam Mujahid narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to me: Do you know the vastness of Hell? I said: No. He said: Yes, by Allah! You really do not know. (Listen! The distance) between the earlobe and the shoulder of a person of Hell will be a journey of seventy years, and there will be valleys of pus and blood flowing there. I said: Rivers will be flowing? He said: Not rivers, valleys. Then he said: Do you know the vastness of Hell? I said: No. He said: Yes, by Allah! You really do not know. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this verse «وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ» (39-az-Zumar:67): "And the whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and all the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand." She asked: O Messenger of Allah! (When this will be the state of the earth and the heavens) where will the people be at that time? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They will be on the bridge of Hell (i.e., the bridge of Sirat) at that time."
