Hadith 3972
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: «إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ» (108-Al-Kawthar:1) "Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar." And he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Al-Kawthar has been granted to me, it is a river that flows on the surface of the earth without any crack, on its banks are domes of pearls, I struck my hand on its soil and saw that it was extremely fragrant musk, and its pebbles are pearls."
Hadith 3973
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I was walking in Paradise when I reached a river, on whose banks were domes of pearls. I said to the angel: 'O Jibreel! What is this?' He said: 'This is the river Kawthar which Allah Almighty has granted you.'" Then he struck his hand on its soil and (from the place of the soil) extracted musk. "Then «سدرة المنتهى» was brought before me, and I saw a great light near it."
Hadith 3974
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: What is Al-Kawthar? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "It is a river in Paradise which Allah, the Exalted, has granted me. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. In it are birds whose necks are like the necks of camels." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: They must be very plump birds. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eating them will be even more delightful."
