Hadith 3922
- " ليدخلن الجنة من أمتي سبعون ألفا لا حساب عليهم ولا عذاب، مع كل ألف سبعون ألفا ".
Shurayh bin Ubaid says: Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) became ill in the region of Hims, at that time Abdullah bin Qurt Azdi was the governor of Hims, and he did not visit him during his illness. One day, a man from the Kalā‘ī tribe came to visit Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) during his illness. Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him: Can you write? He said: Yes. He said: Write. He wrote a letter to Abdullah bin Qurt: From the client of the Messenger, Thawban: The matter is that if in your region there had been a servant of Musa or Isa (ill like me), you would surely have visited him. Then he sealed the letter and Sayyiduna Thawban asked him: Will you deliver this letter to him? He said: Yes. He took the letter and delivered it to Ibn Qurt. When he read the letter, he became alarmed and stood up. People asked: What happened to him? Has some new matter arisen? He went to Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), visited him during his illness, sat with him for a while, and when he got up to leave, Thawban held his cloak and said: Sit down, I will narrate to you a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment, and with each thousand of them, seventy thousand more will also enter."
