Hadith 3918
- " هل تدري أين تغرب هذه؟ قلت: الله ورسوله أعلم. قال: فإنها تغرب في عين حامية ".
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a donkey at the time of sunset. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you know where this sun sets?" I said: Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) know best. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It sets in a flowing, hot spring, (and continues to move) until it reaches under the Throne and falls down in prostration before its Lord. When it is time for it to rise, Allah gives it permission to rise, so it rises. When Allah wills that the sun should rise from the west (instead of the east), He will withhold it. The sun will say: 'O my Lord! Indeed, my journey is far.' Allah will say: 'Then rise from the west.' And this will happen when 'no soul will benefit from its faith.'” (__QUR_N__: Surah Al-An'am: 158)
