Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu’l-As Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were weak people, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made us ride on the camels given in charity for Hajj. We said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you think, can you make us ride on this (hump)? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Every camel’s hump has a devil on it, so when you are about to mount them, mention the name of Allah as He has commanded you, then use them for yourselves. Indeed, it is Allah alone who grants riding animals.”
