Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Ibrahim bin Sa’d says: My father told me that he was sitting in the mosque with Humaid bin Abdur Rahman, when a handsome elder from Banu Ghifar, who was somewhat deaf, passed by. Humaid sent for him, and when he came, Humaid said to my father: Make room between me and yourself for this elder to sit, because he is a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He came and sat between the two of them. Humaid said to him: Which is that hadith which you narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, creates the clouds, then the clouds speak in a beautiful manner and laugh in a beautiful manner.”
