Hadith 3844
- " إن الله تبارك وتعالى قبض قبضة بيمينه فقال: هذه لهذه ولا أبالي وقبض قبضة أخرى، يعني: بيده الأخرى، فقال: هذه لهذه ولا أبالي ".
Abu Nazrah says: A companion became ill, and his companions went to him to look after him. He began to weep. He was asked: O servant of Allah! Why are you weeping? Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) not say to you: "Trim your mustache and then remain steadfast upon this until you meet me"? He said: Why not, (indeed, the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him gave me this glad tiding), but I also heard him say: Verily, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, took a handful (of His servants) with His right hand and said: These are for Paradise, and I do not care about anyone. Then He took another handful with the other hand and said: These are for Hell, and I do not care about anyone." (The reason for my weeping is this concern that) I do not know in which handful I will be.
Hadith 3845
- " إن الله عز وجل قبض قبضة فقال: في الجنة برحمتي، وقبض قبضة فقال: في النار ولا أبالي ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted took a handful and said: 'These will be in Paradise by My mercy,' and He took another handful and said: 'These will be in Hell, and I do not care.'"
