Length of the Day of Judgment: From Zuhr to Asr or Fifty Thousand Years?
Hadith 3763
- " يوم القيامة كقدر ما بين الظهر والعصر ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Day of Resurrection will be as long as the interval between Zuhr and Asr."
Hadith 3764
- " كيف بكم إذا جمعكم الله كما يجمع النبل في الكنانة خمسين ألف سنة، ثم لا ينظر الله إليكم؟! ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "The Day when all people will stand before the Lord of the worlds." (__QUR_N__: Surah Mutaffifin: 6) and said: "What will become of you when Allah gathers you in the plain of resurrection for fifty thousand years, like arrows collected in a quiver, and then does not even look towards you?"
