Abu Nadrah says: We were with Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), and he said: It is near that the import of qafeez and dirham to the people of Iraq will be stopped. We said: How will this happen? He said: From the non-Arabs (there will come a time when) they will stop it. Then it is near that the import of dinar and mudd to the people of Sham will be stopped. We said: How will this happen? He said: From the Romans (there will come a time when) they will stop it. After that, he paused for a little while from speaking and then said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "At the end of my Ummah there will be a caliph who will give handfuls of wealth (to the people) and will not count it." I said to Abu Nadrah and Abu Alaa: What do you think, could he be Umar bin Abdul Aziz? They said: No.
