Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After thirty-five, thirty-six, or thirty-seven years, the mill of Islam will turn. After that, if anyone (remains astray and) is destroyed, he will be like those who were destroyed before, and if the religion remains established, it will remain established for seventy years." I said, and according to another narration, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Prophet of Allah! Is the seventy years in the future or including the past? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Including the past."
