Hadith 3654
- (ليتَ شِعْري! متى تَخْرُجُ نارٌ من اليمن من جبل الوِرَاقِ؛ تضيء منها أعناقُ الإبل بُروكاً بِبُصرى كضَوْءِ النهارِ) .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were returning from a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we camped at the place of Dhul-Hulaifah. Some people hastened to go to Madinah, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spent the night there, and we were with him. When morning came, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked about them (i.e., where are they)? It was told that they had hurried towards Madinah. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They hastened towards Madinah and towards women, soon these people will leave Madinah, even though it would be much better for them." Then he said: "If only I knew, when the fire will emerge from the mountain of Waraq in Yemen, it will illuminate the necks of the camels sitting in Busra, just as they are seen in the brightness of day."
Hadith 3655
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "People will abandon Madinah, even though it will be best for them. (Predatory animals and birds, like) animals seeking sustenance will make it their target. In the end, two shepherds from the tribe of Muzaynah will come towards Madinah, driving their goats, shouting and calling them. (When they arrive,) they will find it deserted and desolate. When they reach Thaniyyah Wada', they will fall down on their faces."
