Silsilah Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last era of my Ummah, the Mahdi will appear. Allah Almighty will send down rain, the earth will produce crops, he will bestow abundant wealth upon the people, livestock will increase, the number of the Ummah will grow, and he will live for seven or eight years."

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) descends, the leader of the Muslims, Mahdi, will say to him: 'Come and lead the prayer.' He will say: 'No, you yourselves are leaders and amirs of one another; this is an honor and dignity from Allah for this Ummah.'"

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Mahdi will be from us, that is, from the Ahl al-Bayt. Allah Almighty will set his affairs right in a single night."

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The one behind whom Sayyiduna 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) will pray will be from us (i.e., from the Ahl al-Bayt)."

Muawiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The earth will be filled with oppression and injustice; when this happens, Allah Almighty will send a man, he will have my name, and he will fill the earth with justice and fairness in place of oppression and injustice."
