Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Asir bin Jabir narrates that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Uwais Qarni, "Pray for my forgiveness." He replied, "You are more deserving to seek forgiveness for me, because you are among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah." Sayyiduna Umar said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A man named Uwais from the tribe of Qarn will be the best of the Tabi'in.'"
