Hadith 3507
- (إنّ إبراهيمَ حرَّم مكةَ، ودعا لها، وحرَّمْتُ المدينةَ، كما حرّمَ إبراهيمُ مكةَ، ودعوتُ لها في مُدِّها وصاعِها، مثلَ ما دعا إبراهيمُ عليه السلام لمكةَ) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) declared Makkah (the Honored) as sacred and prayed for (its blessings), and I, like Ibrahim (peace be upon him), declare Madinah as sacred, and I pray for the (blessing of its measures) mudd and sa’ just as Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed for Makkah.”
Hadith 3508
- (حمَى رسولُ الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - كل ناحيةٍ من المدينة برِيداً برِيد اً) .
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared Madinah to be prohibited in all four directions up to one barid, such that its trees should not have their leaves shaken off (by sticks, etc.) nor should they be cut down, except that a stick may be cut for driving camels.
Hadith 3509
- (إنها حرمٌ آمنٌ) .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pointed with his hand towards Madinah (Munawwarah) and said: "This is a sanctuary of peace."
Hadith 3510
- " لا يحل لأحد يحمل فيها السلاح لقتال. يعني المدينة ".
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not lawful for anyone to raise weapons for fighting in this (Medina)."
