Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a marriage proposal to a woman named Saudah, who was a mother of children. She had five or six children from her previous deceased husband. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked her: "What is preventing you from marrying me?" She said: "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, you are the most beloved of all creation to me. In reality, the reason is that these children will make noise and commotion around you morning and evening, and thus your respect and honor may be disturbed." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is there any other excuse besides this that is preventing you?" She said: "By Allah! There is none." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on you. The best women who ride on the backs of camels are the women of Quraysh, who take great care of their children in their childhood and protect the wealth and property of their husbands."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best women who ride camels are the righteous women of Quraysh; they are the most compassionate towards their children and the most protective of their husbands' wealth and possessions."
