Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Glad tidings once for the one who saw me and believed in me, and glad tidings seven times for the one who believes in me without seeing me."

The companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Glad tidings for the one who saw me, glad tidings for the one who saw my companion, and glad tidings for the one who saw the one who saw my companion (i.e., the Tabi‘i) and believed in me.”

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever adheres to the Shari'ah after me will enter Paradise, and after him, whoever adopts the Shari'ah, and after him, the man of the third generation, and after him, the man of the fourth generation—all will enter Paradise."

Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “As long as there are among you those who have seen me and kept my company, you will remain upon goodness and virtue. By Allah! You will remain upon goodness as long as there is among you one who has seen my Companions and kept their company. By Allah! You will remain upon goodness as long as there is among you one who has seen those who saw my Companions and kept their company.”

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed us at the place of Jabiyah and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood among us as I am standing among you and said: "Take care regarding my companions, then those who come after them, and then those who come after them. After that, lying will become widespread, to the extent that a man will give testimony though it was not requested from him, and he will swear an oath though it was not requested from him."
