He asked again: O Messenger of Allah! Are we not the best? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. He asked again: O Messenger of Allah! Are we not the best? Sa'd! You know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, and you were sitting there: "The Quraysh are responsible and deserving of this (caliphate) matter. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I will not take your pledge, because people migrate to you (the Ansar), not you to them. By Him in Whose hand is my soul! It was slaughtered, then it was roasted. Then my father ordered me to take it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I took it, and when he saw me, he asked: "Jabir! What do you have with you?" I informed him (that it was meat). He ascended the pulpit; this was his last gathering. He praised and glorified Allah, and then said: "To proceed: O people! The number of people is increasing, and the number of the Ansar is decreasing, until their number will become like the salt in food. (Listen!)
