Hadith 3303
- (كان يقولُ: إنّ الخيرَ خيرُ الآخرِة، أو قال: اللهم لا خير إلا خيرُ الآخرة فاغفر للأنصارِ والمهاجرة) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "True goodness is only the goodness of the Hereafter." Or he said: "O Allah! There is no goodness except the goodness of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirun."
Hadith 3304
- " إذا ذكر أصحابي فأمسكوا، وإذا ذكر النجوم فأمسكوا، وإذا ذكر القدر فأمسكوا ".
The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When my Companions are mentioned, remain silent; when the stars are mentioned, remain silent; and when the matter of destiny is mentioned, remain silent." This hadith has been narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Sayyiduna Thawban, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and from Tawus as mursal.
Hadith 3305
- " كان أصحابه يتبادحون بالبطيخ، فإذا كانت الحقائق كانوا هم الرجال ".
Bakr bin Abdullah says that the companions of the Messenger of Allah used to joke with each other by hitting one another with watermelon (or melon) rinds (or the vines of both), but when it came to actual (fierce battle with enemies), they proved to be tough warriors.
