Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and she continued beating it. Other companions came, and she remained in that state.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I (in a dream) was drawing water from a well. Abu Bakr came to me, took the bucket, and drew one or two buckets of water, but there was some weakness in his drawing, and Allah will forgive him. Then Umar ibn al-Khattab took the bucket from Abu Bakr's hand, and it became a very large bucket. I have not seen such a strong and capable man working in such a manner. Sayyiduna Umar came to Lady Umm Salamah and said: “By Allah! Am I also among them?” She said: “No. But after you, I will not inform anyone.”

Hadith 3262
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I heard Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that when Abdullah bin Ubayy (the hypocrite) died, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was called for his funeral prayer. The Prophet (peace be upon him) went, and when he stood up with the intention to pray, I turned and stood in front of him and said: O Messenger of Allah! Are you going to pray the funeral prayer for Allah’s enemy Abdullah bin Ubayy, who said such and such on such and such a day? I even counted those days. The Prophet (peace be upon him) smiled in response. When I insisted a lot, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Umar! Step back, I have been given a choice and I have accepted (that choice). I have been told (by Allah): ‘O Muhammad! Whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them, even if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah will never forgive them.’ (__QUR_N__: Surah At-Tawbah: 80) If I knew that asking forgiveness more than seventy times would grant him forgiveness, I would have done so more times.” Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) led the prayer, walked with the body, and stood by his grave until he finished. I was greatly astonished at my daring before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him); Allah and His Messenger know best. By Allah! Shortly after, these two verses were revealed: “O Muhammad! Never pray the funeral prayer for any of them (the hypocrites) who dies, nor stand by his grave. They disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient.” (__QUR_N__: Surah At-Tawbah: 84) (After the revelation of these verses) the Prophet (peace be upon him) never prayed the funeral prayer for any hypocrite nor stood by his grave, until he passed away.

- (إيه يا ابن الخطّاب! والذي نفسي بيده! ما لَقِيكَ الشيطانُ سالكاً فجّاً؛ إلا سلك فجّاً غير فجك) .
Muhammad bin Sa’d narrates from his father that Sayyiduna ‘Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and at that time, some Qurayshi women were sitting with him. They were asking him questions, demanding in abundance, and expressing their demands in loud voices. When Sayyiduna ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter, they quickly put on their veils. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyiduna ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) permission, and when he entered, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was smiling. He said: “O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you, and may Allah always keep you smiling (but what is the reason for your smile)?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I am amazed at these women who were sitting with me. When they heard your voice, they quickly put on their veils.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah! You are more deserving that one should fear you.” Then he turned to those women and said: “Enemies of your own selves! Do you fear me and not the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?” They said: “You are harsher and sterner than the Messenger of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Ibn Khattab! Enough. By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Whenever Shaytan sees you walking down a street, he turns into another street (out of fear of you).”
