When my mother conceived me, she saw that a light came out from her by which the palaces of Shaam were illuminated. I was nursed among the tribe of Banu Sa'd bin Bakr. There, I was grazing sheep when two men came to me, wearing white clothes. They had a golden basin filled with snow. They laid me down, split open my belly, took out my heart, split it, and removed a black clot of blood from it and threw it away. Then they washed my heart and belly with snow. When they had cleansed them, they returned them to their places. Then one of them said: Weigh him against ten men from his nation. So they weighed me against ten men, and I outweighed them. Then he said: Weigh him against a hundred men from his nation. So he weighed me against a hundred (100) men, and I outweighed them. Then he said: Weigh him against a thousand men. So he weighed me against a thousand men, and I outweighed them. (Finally) he said: Leave it, for if you weigh him against his entire nation, he will still outweigh them."
