Remember Allah when rising, sitting, and lying down, otherwise...
Hadith 3156
- " ما قعد قوم مقعدا لم يذكروا فيه الله عز وجل ويصلوا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا كان عليهم حسرة يوم القيامة وإن دخلوا الجنة للثواب ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Those people who sit in a gathering and neither remember Allah in it nor send blessings upon the Prophet, that gathering will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection, even if they enter Paradise (on account of their faith and other deeds)."
Hadith 3157
- " ما من قوم اجتمعوا في مجلس، فتفرقوا ولم يذكروا الله إلا كان ذلك المجلس حسرة عليهم يوم القيامة ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no group of people who sit in a gathering and disperse without remembering Allah, except that this gathering will be a source of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 3158
- " ما من قوم جلسوا مجلسا لم يذكروا الله فيه إلا رأوه حسرة يوم القيامة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no group of people who sit in a gathering in which Allah is not mentioned, except that they will consider that sitting a regret on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 3159
- " ما من قوم يقومون من مجلس لا يذكرون الله فيه إلا قاموا على مثل جيفة حمار وكان عليهم حسرة يوم القيامة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a people rise from a gathering in which they did not remember Allah, they rise as if from the carcass of a donkey, and that gathering will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 3160
- " من قعد مقعدا لم يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة ومن اضطجع مضجعا لا يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة ".
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever sits in a place in which he does not remember Allah, then that (place and gathering) will be a cause of loss for him from Allah, and whoever lies down in a place in which he does not remember Allah, then that will be a cause of loss for him from Allah."
Hadith 3161
- " ما جلس قوم مجلسا فلم يذكروا الله فيه إلا كان عليهم ترة وما من رجل مشى طريقا فلم يذكر الله عز وجل إلا كان عليه ترة وما من رجل أوى إلى فراشه فلم يذكر الله إلا كان عليه ترة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No people sit in a gathering in which they do not remember Allah, except that it will be a cause of loss for them. Whoever walks on a path and does not remember Allah in it, then this will be a cause of distress for him. And whoever lies down on his bed to sleep and does not remember Allah, then this will be a cause of anxiety for him."
Hadith 3162
- " ما جلس قوم مجلسا لم يذكروا الله فيه ولم يصلوا على نبيهم إلا كان عليهم ترة فإن شاء عذبهم وإن شاء غفر لهم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No people sit in a gathering in which they neither remember Allah nor send blessings upon their Prophet, except that it will be a cause of loss for them. Then if Allah wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive them."
