Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The friends of Allah are those whom, when you see them, you remember Allah."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding Allah Almighty’s statement «أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّـهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ» (10-Yunus:62) “Behold! Verily, on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve”: “The friends of Allah are those people, seeing whom makes one remember Allah.”
