Hadith 3101
- " كان لا ينام حتى يقرأ * (ألم، تنزيل) * السجدة و * (تبارك الذي بيده الملك) * ".
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go to sleep until he had recited Surah As-Sajdah «الم تنزيل» and Surah Al-Mulk «تبارك الذى بيده الملك».

Hadith 3102
- " كان لا ينام حتى يقرأ الزمر وبني إسرائيل ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go to sleep until he had recited Surah Az-Zumar and Surah Bani Isra'il.

Hadith 3103
- (من قال إذا أوَى إلى فراشه: الحمد لله الذي كفاني وآواني. الحمد لله الذي أطعمني وسقاني. الحمد لله الذي مَنَّ عليَّ وأفضلَ، اللهم! إنِّي أسألك بعزَّتك أنْ تُنَجِّيَني من النّار؛ فقدْ حَمِدَ الله بجميع محامدِ الخلقِ كلِّهم) .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever lies down on his bed and recites this supplication: All praise is due to Allah who has sufficed me and given me shelter, all praise is due to Allah who has fed me, and all praise is due to Allah who has shown kindness and favor to me. O Allah, I ask You by Your honor to save me from the Fire. Then he has indeed expressed all the praises of Allah mentioned by all creatures.”

Hadith 3104
- (ما مِن مُسلمٍ يبيتُ على ذِكر [الله] طاهراً، فيتعارُّ مِنَ الليل، فيسألُ الله خيراً مِن [أمرِ] الدُّنيا والآخرِة؛ إلاّ أعطاهُ إياه) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever, as a Muslim, goes to sleep in a state of ablution and remembering Allah Almighty, then whenever he wakes up during the night and asks Allah Almighty for goodness and well-being of this world and the Hereafter, Allah Almighty grants it to him."

Hadith 3105
- (كان يقولُ حينَ يريدُ أنْ ينامَ: اللهمَ! فاطرَ السماواتِ والأرضِ! عالمَ الغيبِ والشهادةِ! ربَّ كلّ شيءٍ! وإله كلِّ شيءٍ! أشهدُ أنْ لا إلهَ إلا أنتَ، وحدَك لا شريكَ لك، وأنَّ محمّداً عبدُك ورسولُك، والملائكة يشهدون، اللهم! إنِّي أعوذُ بك من الشيطانِ وشِرْكِه، وأعوذُ بك أن أقرِفَ على نفْسي إثْماً، أو أردَّه إلى مسلم) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to sleep, he would say: "O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the unseen and the seen! Lord of everything! The only true deity of everything! I bear witness that You alone are the true deity, You are One, You have no partner, and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is Your servant and Messenger, and the angels also bear witness to this. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from Satan and his shirk, and I seek refuge in You from committing evil against myself or doing evil to any Muslim."

Hadith 3106
- " كان يتوسد يمينه عند المنام، ثم يقول: رب قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك ".
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would go to sleep, he would place his right hand under his head and recite this supplication: "O my Lord! On the Day You raise Your servants, save me from Your punishment."

Hadith 3107
- " كان إذا أراد أن ينام وضع يده تحت خده الأيمن، ويقول: اللهم قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك ".
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would sleep, he would place his hand under his right cheek and recite this supplication: "O Allah! On the day You raise Your servants, save me from Your punishment." This hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyidah Hafsah bint Umar (may Allah be pleased with her).

Hadith 3108
- " كان إذا أراد أن ينام وهو جنب توضأ، وإذا أراد أن يأكل غسل يديه ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to sleep in a state of janabah, he would perform ablution, and if he wanted to eat or drink in that state, he would wash his hands.

Hadith 3109
- " كان إذا أوى إلى فراشه نام على شقه الأيمن، ثم قال: اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك ووجهت وجهي إليك وفوضت أمري إليك وألجأت ظهري إليك رغبة ورهبة إليك لا ملجأ ولا منجأ منك إلا إليك، آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت ونبيك الذي أرسلت، وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : " من قالهن ثم مات تحت ليلته مات على الفطرة ".
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would lie down on his bed, he would lie on his right side and recite this supplication: "O Allah! I have submitted my soul to You, turned my face towards You, entrusted my affairs to You, and leaned my back upon You, desiring You and fearing You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Whoever says these words and dies that night, he will die upon the natural religion of Islam."
