Making supplication with full effort
Hadith 3089
- " أتحبون أن تجتهدوا في الدعاء؟ قولوا: اللهم أعنا على شكرك وذكرك وحسن عبادتك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you want to strive fully in supplication? (If you do) then say: O Allah! Help us to thank You, to remember You, and to worship You in a good manner."
Hadith 3090
- " كان إذا اجتهد لأحد في الدعاء قال: جعل الله عليكم صلاة قوم أبرار، يقومون الليل ويصومون النهار، ليسوا بأثمة ولا فجار ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for someone, he would say: "May Allah grant you the prayers of righteous people, who stand in prayer at night and fast during the day, and who are neither sinners nor evildoers."
