Dua Upon Sighting the Crescent
Hadith 3061
- " كان إذا رأى الهلال قال: اللهم أهله علينا باليمن والإيمان والسلامة والإسلام، ربي وربك الله ".
Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would see the new moon, he would say: "O Allah! Let it rise upon us with security, faith, safety, and Islam. (O moon!) My Lord and your Lord is Allah."
