Dua During Strong Wind
Hadith 3052
- " كان إذا اشتدت الريح يقول: اللهم لقحا لا عقيما ".
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when a strong wind would blow, he would say: “O Allah! Let these winds be beneficial (i.e., those that pollinate the male and female trees and bring rain), and not those without benefit.”
Hadith 3053
- " كان إذا هاجت ريح شديدة قال: اللهم إني أسألك من خير ما أرسلت به، وأعوذ بك من شر ما أرسلت به ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when a strong and fierce wind would blow, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "O Allah! I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of that with which it has been sent, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of that with which it has been sent."
