Hadith 3043
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whenever anyone is afflicted by worry, grief, or distress, and he recites this supplication: O Allah! I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, and the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the reliever of my distress. Then Allah, the Exalted, will remove his worry, grief, and distress, and in its place grant him relief and ease.” It was said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not learn these words? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Of course, everyone who hears them should memorize them.”
