Hadith 3014
- " يا ولي الإسلام وأهله مسكني الإسلام حتى ألقاك عليه ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Protector of Islam and the people of Islam! Grant me the ability to hold firmly to Islam until I meet You."
Hadith 3015
- " يا ولي الإسلام وأهله، ثبتني به حتى ألقاك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Guarantor of Islam and the people of Islam! Keep my heart steadfast until I meet You."
Hadith 3016
- " من قال: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير بعدما يصلي الغداة عشر مرات كتب الله عز وجل له عشر حسنات ومحى عنه عشر سيئات ورفع له عشر درجات وكن له بعدل عتق رقبتين من ولد إسماعيل، فإن قالها حين يمسي كان له مثل ذلك وكن له حجابا من الشيطان حتى يصبح ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites this phrase ten times after the Fajr prayer: «لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد ، وهو على كل شيء قدير» ‘There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him, all praise is for Him, and He is capable of all things,’ then Allah will write ten good deeds for him, forgive ten of his sins, raise him by ten degrees, and the reward of these words will be equal to freeing two slaves from among the descendants of Isma’il (peace be upon him). If he recites them in the evening in the same way, he will receive this reward, and these words will also protect him from Satan until the morning.”
Hadith 3017
- " من قال: رضيت بالله ربا وبالإسلام دينا وبمحمد رسولا وجبت له الجنة ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says: I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as my Messenger, then Paradise will become obligatory for him."
Hadith 3018
- " من قال: اللهم إني أشهدك، وأشهد ملائكتك، وحملة عرشك، وأشهد من في السموات ومن في الأرض أنك أنت الله، لا إله إلا أنت وحدك لا شريك لك، وأشهد أن محمدا عبدك ورسولك، من قالها مرة أعتق الله ثلثه من النار، ومن قالها مرتين أعتق الله ثلثيه من النار، ومن قالها ثلاثا أعتق الله كله من النار ".
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ وَأُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَحَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ، وَأُشْهِدُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ» “Whoever recites this supplication: O Allah! I make You a witness, I make Your angels and (especially) the bearers of the Throne witnesses, and I make all things in the heavens and the earth witnesses that You are God, You alone are the true God, You are One, You have no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is Your servant and Messenger. Whoever recites this supplication once, Allah Almighty will free one third of his being from the Fire; whoever recites it twice, Allah Almighty will free two thirds of his being from the Fire; and whoever recites it three times, Allah Almighty will free his entire being from the Fire.”
Hadith 3019
- " من قال: أستغفر الله ... الذي لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم وأتوب إليه ثلاثا غفرت له ذنوبه وإن كان فارا من الزحف ".
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites this supplication three times: 'I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides whom there is no deity worthy of worship, He is the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I turn to Him in repentance,' his sins will be forgiven, even if he has committed the major sin of fleeing from the battlefield." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, the freed slave of the Messenger Sayyiduna Zaid, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, and Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 3020
- (كان يقولُ في دعائِه: اللهم! إنّي أعوذ بك من جارِ السُّوء في دارِِ المُقامةِ؛ فإنَّ جارَ البادية يتحوّل) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from an evil neighbor in my permanent residence, for the neighbor of a tent-dweller keeps moving (here and there)."
Hadith 3021
- " كان يدعو: اللهم احفظني بالإسلام قائما واحفظني بالإسلام قاعدا واحفظني بالإسلام راقدا ولا تشمت بي عدوا حاسدا، اللهم إني أسألك من كل خير خزائنه بيدك، وأعوذ بك من كل شر خزائنه بيدك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication: “O Allah! Protect me with Islam while I am standing, and protect me with Islam while I am sitting, and protect me with Islam while I am sleeping. Do not let my enemy who envies me rejoice over my suffering. O Allah! I ask You for every good whose treasures are in Your hand, and I seek refuge in You from every evil whose treasures are with You.”
Hadith 3022
- " كان يدعو بهؤلاء الكلمات: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من غلبة الدين وغلبة العدو وشماتة الأعداء ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate with these words: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt, from being overpowered by enemies, and from the enemies rejoicing over my misfortune."
Hadith 3023
- " كان من دعائه صلى الله عليه وسلم : اللهم اغفر لي ما قدمت وما أخرت، وما أسررت وما أعلنت، وما أنت أعلم به مني، إنك أنت المقدم والمؤخر، لا إله إلا أنت ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to supplicate: "O Allah! Forgive me, that is, my former and latter (sins), and (also forgive those sins) which I have committed secretly and openly, and (those sins) which You know better than I do. Surely, You are the One Who brings forward and the One Who puts back, and there is no deity worthy of worship except You."
Hadith 3024
- " كان أكثر دعائه: يا مقلب القلوب! ثبت قلبي على دينك. فقيل له في ذلك. فقال: إنه ليس آدمي إلا وقلبه بين إصبعين من أصابع الله، فمن شاء أقام ومن شاء أزاغ ".
Shahr bin Hawshab says that I asked Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): O Mother of the Believers! When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was with you, which supplication did he recite most frequently? She said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication most often: "O Turner of the hearts! Keep my heart firm upon Your religion." When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the reason for this supplication, he said: "The heart of every person is between two fingers from among the fingers of Allah, He keeps firm whomever He wills (upon guidance) and lets go astray whomever He wills."
Hadith 3025
- (قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر. فعقد الأعرابي على يده، وقضى وتفكر ثم رجع، فتبسم النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - قال: تفكر البائس. فجاء فقال: يا رسول الله! سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر؛ هذا لله، فما لي؟ فقال له النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: يا أعرابي! إذا قلت: سبحان الله، قال الله: صدقت، وإذا قلت: الحمد لله، قال الله: صدقت، وإذا قلت: لا إله إلا الله، قال الله: صدقت، وإذا قلت: الله أكبر؛ قال الله: صدقت. وإذا قلت: اللهم! اغفر لي، قال الله: قد فعلت، وإذا قلت: اللهم! ارحمني؛ قال الله: [قد] فعلت، وإذا قلت: اللهم! ارزقني، قال الله: قد فعلت. فعقد الأعرابي على سبع في يده، ثم ولّى) .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A Bedouin came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me something of the best. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his hand and said: “Say like this: Allah is Pure, all praise is for Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Allah is the Greatest.” The Bedouin counted these four things on his fingers and left, but after thinking, he came back. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said, “The poor Bedouin has started thinking.” He came back and said: O Messenger of Allah! Allah is Pure, all praise is for Allah, Allah alone is worthy of worship, and Allah is the Greatest. All these (praising) words are for Allah, what is there for me? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: “Bedouin! When you say «سبحان الله », Allah, the Exalted, will say: «صدقت» (You have spoken the truth). When you say «الحمد لله», Allah, the Exalted, will say: «صدقت». When you say «لا اله الا الله», Allah, the Exalted, will say: «صدقت». When you say « اللہ اکبر», Allah, the Exalted, will say: «صدقت». And when you say «اللهم اغفرلى» ‘O Allah! Forgive me,’ Allah, the Exalted, will say: I have forgiven you. When you say «اللهم ارحمنى» ‘O Allah! Have mercy on me,’ Allah, the Exalted, will say: I have had mercy on you. And when you say «اللهم ارزقني» ‘O Allah! Provide for me,’ Allah, the Exalted, will say: I have decided to provide for you.” The Bedouin counted these seven words on his hand and left.
Hadith 3026
- " قل اللهم اغفر لي وارحمني وعافني وارزقني - يجمع أصابعه إلا الإبهام - فإن هؤلاء تجمع لك دنياك وآخرتك ".
Abu Malik Ashja'i narrates from his father Sayyiduna Tariq bin Ashyam (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! When I ask my Lord, what should I say? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say like this: O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, and provide for me." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) closed his fingers except for the thumb. (And said:) "These words will gather for you your world and your Hereafter."
Hadith 3027
- " اللهم إني أسألك من الخير كله عاجله وآجله ما علمت منه وما لم أعلم وأعوذ بك من الشر كله عاجله وآجله ما علمت منه وما لم أعلم، اللهم إني أسألك من خير ما سألك عبدك ونبيك، وأعوذ بك من شر ما عاذ بك عبدك ونبيك، اللهم إني أسألك الجنة وما قرب إليها من قول أو عمل وأعوذ بك من النار وما قرب إليها من قول أو عمل، وأسألك أن تجعل كل قضاء قضيته لي خيرا ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught me this supplication: "O Allah! I ask You for every good, whether it comes soon or later, and whether I know of it or not, and I seek refuge with You from every evil, whether it comes soon or later, and whether I know of it or not. O Allah! I ask You for every good that Your servant and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from every evil from which Your servant and Prophet sought refuge with You. O Allah! I ask You for Paradise and for every word and deed that brings one closer to it, and I seek refuge with You from the Fire and from every word and deed that brings one closer to it, and I ask You that every decree You make concerning me, make it good for me."
Hadith 3028
- (اللهم! إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل، والجبن والبخل، والهرم، وعذاب القبر. اللهم! آت نفسي تقواها، وزكها أنت خير من زكاها، أنت وليها ومولاها. اللهم! إني أعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع، ومن قلب لا يخشع، ومن نفس لا تشبع، ومن دعوة لا يستجاب لها) .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I say the same words as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from old age and the punishment of the grave. O Allah! Grant my soul piety and purify it, for You are the best to purify it. You are its Guardian and Lord. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not humble itself, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered."
Hadith 3029
- " إن كنا لنعد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في المجلس يقول: (رب اغفر لي وتب علي إنك أنت التواب الغفور مائة مرة) ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: We used to count that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite this supplication one hundred times in a single gathering: "O my Lord! Forgive me and turn towards me. Indeed, You are the Acceptor of repentance and the Most Forgiving."
Hadith 3030
- " اللهم لا مانع لما أعطيت ولا معطي لما منعت ولا ينفع ذا الجد منك الجد، من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه في الدين ".
Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said on the pulpit: "O Allah! There is none who can withhold what You give, and there is none who can give what You withhold, and the status of any person of high rank cannot benefit him against You. Allah, for whomever He intends good, grants him deep understanding of the religion." Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard these words from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on this pulpit.
Hadith 3031
- (اللهمّ! إنِّي أعوذُ بك من البخلِ، وأعوذُ بك من الجُبنِ، وأعوذُ بك أن أردّ إلى أرذلِ العُمُر، وأعوذُ بك من فتنة الدنيا، وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر) .
It is narrated from Mus'ab that Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) used to command five things and would say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded them: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from miserliness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice, I seek refuge in You from being returned to feeble old age, I seek refuge in You from worldly trials, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave." Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) has also mentioned "the trial of Dajjal" after the words "worldly trials."
Hadith 3032
- (كان من دعائه - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: اللهمَّ إني أعوذُ بكَ من جارِ السُّوءِ، ومن زوجٍ تشيِّبني قبلَ المشيب، ومن ولد يكونُ عليّ رَبّاً، ومن مال يكونُ عليّ عذاباً، ومن خليلٍ ماكر عينَه تراني، وقلبُه يرعاني؛ إن رأى حسنة دفنها، وإذا رأى سيّئةً أذاعها) .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from an evil neighbor, and from a wife who makes me old before old age, and from children who become my masters, and from wealth that becomes a torment for me, and from a deceitful friend whose eyes watch me while his heart is plotting against me, who suppresses every good deed of mine and spreads every evil."
Hadith 3033
- " اللهم رب جبرائيل وميكائيل ورب إسرافيل أعوذ بك من حر النار وعذاب القبر ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! Lord of Jibreel and Mikaeel! Lord of Israfeel! I seek Your protection from the heat of the Fire and the punishment of the grave."
Hadith 3034
- (كان يدعوُ ربَّه فيقولُ: اللهمَّ! متِّعني بسمعِي وبصري، واجعلهُمَا الوارث منِّي، وانصرني على من ظَلَمني، وخذ منهُ بثأرِي) .
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate to his Lord: "O Allah! Grant me the opportunity to benefit from my hearing and my sight, and keep them sound for me as long as I live, and help me against the one who oppresses me, and take retribution from him on my behalf." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, Sayyidah Aisha, Sayyiduna Saad bin Zararah, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, Sayyiduna Abdullah Shukhair, and other companions (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 3035
- " اللهم من آمن بك وشهد أني رسولك فحبب إليه لقاءك وسهل عليه قضاءك وأقلل له من الدنيا، ومن لم يؤمن بك ويشهد أني رسولك، فلا تحبب إليه لقاءك ولا تسهل عليه قضاءك وأكثر له من الدنيا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Whoever believed in You and also testified that I am Your Messenger, then make meeting You beloved to him, make Your decree easy for him, and lessen the world for him. And whoever did not believe in You nor testified that I am Your Messenger, then do not make meeting You beloved to him, do not make Your decree easy for him, and give him as much of the world as possible."
Hadith 3036
- " اللهم لا سهل إلا ما جعلته سهلا وأنت تجعل الحزن إذا شئت سهلا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Nothing is easy except what You make easy, and You make the difficult easy whenever You will."
