Remembrance of Allah is Cure for Stinginess, Cowardice, and Anxiety
Hadith 2994
- " إن الله قسم بينكم أخلاقكم كما قسم بينكم أرزاقكم، وإن الله يعطي الدنيا من يحب ومن لا يحب ولا يعطي الإيمان إلا من أحب، فمن ضن بالمال أن ينفقه وخاف العدو أن يجاهده وهاب الليل أن يكابده، فليكثر من قول: سبحان الله، [ والحمد لله] ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Just as Allah Almighty has distributed your sustenance among you, likewise He has distributed your character among you. And indeed, Allah Almighty gives the world to the one He loves and to the one He does not love, but He grants faith only to the one whom He loves. So whoever is miserly in spending wealth, fears fighting the enemy, and is distressed by the hardship and toil of the night, then let him frequently recite these words: «سبحان الله ، والحمدلله ولا اله الا الله ، والله اكبر»."
