Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf as it was revealed, it will become a light for him from his place of residence to Makkah on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever recites the last ten verses of this Surah and then the Dajjal appears, he will not be harmed by him. And whoever performs ablution and then recites this supplication: «سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» ‘O Allah! You are pure with Your praises, I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except You, I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.’ then these words are written on a scroll and sealed (for safekeeping), which cannot be broken until the Day of Resurrection.”
