Ten Rewards for Each Letter of the Quran
Hadith 2925
- " اقرءوا القرآن، فإنكم تؤجرون عليه أما إني لا أقول: * (ألم) * حرف ولكن ألف عشر ولام عشر وميم عشر، فتلك ثلاثون ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite the Qur'an, for indeed you will receive reward for it. Be aware! I do not say that «الم» is one letter, rather «الف» has ten good deeds separately, «لام» separately, and «ميم» separately; thus, «الم» has a total of thirty good deeds."
Hadith 2926
- (من قرأ حرْفاً من كتاب الله؛ فله به حسنة، والحسنة بعشْرِ أمثالها، لا أقول: (الم) حرف، ولكن ألف حرف، ولام حرف، وميم حرف) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a single letter from the Noble Qur'an will receive one good deed, and one good deed is equal to ten like it. I do not say that «الم» is a letter, rather «الف» is a letter, «لام» is a letter, and «ميم» is a letter."
