Hadith 2908
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by a reciter of the Qur'an who, after reciting, would ask people (for something). He recited «إِنَّا لِلَّـهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ» and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever recites the Noble Qur'an should ask Allah Almighty through it. Soon there will come people who will recite the Qur'an but will ask people (for things) because of it."
Hadith 2909
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while we were reciting the Noble Qur'an, and among us were Bedouins and non-Arabs as well. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite, recite, everyone is reciting correctly. Soon there will come people who will give so much importance to the (beautiful) recitation of the Noble Qur'an as is given to straightening an arrow, but they will take their reward in this world and will not defer its (reward and recompense) to the Hereafter."
Hadith 2910
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: When you reach near my tent, stand and narrate a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Recite the Noble Qur'an, but do not make it a means of livelihood, nor accumulate abundant wealth through it, nor become hard-hearted regarding it, and do not be excessive or harsh in its matter."
Hadith 2911
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever earns a livelihood by teaching the Noble Qur'an, Allah Almighty will place a bridle of fire around his neck on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 2912
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Recite the Qur'an, but do not be excessive or harsh in it, do not be strict regarding it, do not make it a means of livelihood, and do not accumulate much wealth through it."
