Hadith 2891
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the Noble Qur'an will come in the form of a stranger and will ask the companion of the Qur'an: Do you recognize me? (Then the Noble Qur'an, introducing itself, will say:) I am the one who kept you awake at night and thirsty during the day. Today, every trader is behind his trade, and today I am behind you for your sake. Then, sovereignty will be given to him in his right hand and eternity in his left hand, a crown of dignity will be placed on his head, and his parents will be dressed in two fine garments, so precious that the whole world and whatever is in it cannot match their value. They will say: O our Lord! Why have these garments been given to us? It will be said in reply: Because your son learned the Noble Qur'an. On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: Keep reciting and ascending the ranks of Paradise, and recite slowly and distinctly as you used to recite in the world, for your place will be where your last verse (of recitation) ends."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an (on the Day of Resurrection): Keep reciting and keep ascending the ranks of Paradise, and recite slowly and carefully as you used to recite in the world. For your position will be at the last verse you recite."
