Affection is a Trait of the Believer
Hadith 2860
- " المؤمن مألفة، ولا خير فيمن لا يألف ولا يؤلف ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A believer is one who is friendly and with whom others feel comfortable. There is no good in a person who is neither friendly with others nor do others feel comfortable with him.”
Hadith 2861
- " المؤمن يألف ويؤلف ولا خير فيمن لا يألف، ولا يؤلف وخير الناس أنفعهم للناس ".
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A believer is friendly (with people) and people are friendly with him. There is no good in a person who is neither friendly with others nor are others friendly with him. And the best among people is the one who is most beneficial to others."
