Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would leave the house, he would recite this supplication: In the name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah. O Allah! We seek Your protection from slipping (and in one narration: that I myself slip or that I am made to slip... all actions are in the singular form), or that we go astray, or that we do wrong, or that wrong is done to us, or that we behave ignorantly towards someone, or that someone behaves ignorantly towards us.
