Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would rest on his bed at night, he would bring his two palms together, blow into them, and recite these Surahs in them: «قل هو الله احد», «قل اعوذ برب الفلق», «قل اعوذ برب الناس». Then, as much as possible, he would wipe his palms over his body, starting from his head, face, and the front part of his body. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would do this three times.
