Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Defend your honor with your wealth." They said: O Messenger of Allah! How can we protect our honor with our wealth? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give wealth to the poet and to those people whose tongues you fear (for your honor)."
