Hadith 2703
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "When you hear the barking of dogs or the braying of donkeys at night, seek refuge with Allah, for they see things which you do not see. When people have gone to sleep, do not go outside, for Allah, the Exalted, disperses various creatures at that time of night according to His will. And close the doors by mentioning the name of Allah, for the Shaytan does not open a door that has been closed with the name of Allah. And cover the water pots, turn the vessels upside down, and tie the mouth of the water-skins with a string."
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Feed your slaves from what you eat yourselves, and clothe them with what you wear yourselves. And those slaves who do not agree with you, sell them, and do not punish the creation of Allah."
