Hadith 2695
- (إذا لَعِبَ الشّيطانُ بأَحدِكم في منامِه؛ فلا يحدِّث به النّاسَ) .
Sayyiduna Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was delivering a sermon. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Last night I saw a dream that my neck was cut off, my head fell and rolled away, I followed it, caught it, and put it back in its place. (What do you think about this dream?) In response, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said: "When Satan plays with someone in his sleep, he should not relate (such a dream) to the people."
