How to shake hands; prayers for traveler and resident at farewell
Hadith 2651
- عن عبد الله الخطمي قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أراد أن يستودع الجيش، قال: " أستودع الله دينك وأمانتك وخواتيم عملك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah Khatmi (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to bid farewell to an army, he would say: "I entrust your religion, your trust, and your last deeds to Allah."
Hadith 2652
- عن أبى هريرة: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا ودع أحدا قال: " أستودع الله دينك وأمانتك وخواتيم عملك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would bid farewell to someone, he would say: "I entrust your religion, your trust, and your last deeds to Allah."
