Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Duhak bin Qais Fihri رضي الله عنه, he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: "When a man goes to a people and they (expressing approval) welcome him, then on the day he meets Allah Almighty, he will also be welcomed. And if a man goes to a people and they (expressing displeasure) drive him away, then on the Day of Resurrection he will also be driven away."
