Virtue of a Muslim’s white hair
Hadith 2563
- (من شاب شيبةً في سبيل الله (وفي رواية: في الإسلام) ؛ كانت له نوراً يوم القيامة. فقال رجل عند ذلك: فإن رجالاً ينتفون الشيب؟ فقال: من شاء؛ فلينتف نوره) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever grows old in the way of Allah or in Islam, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." At this, a man said: Many people pluck out their white hair. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes, let him pluck out his light."
