Hadith 2556
- (لا يدخلُ الجنة من كان في قلبهِ مثقالُ حبّةٍ من خردلٍ من كِبرٍ) .
It is narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad, he says: The opinion of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him) is that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) once passed through the market carrying a bundle of firewood for fuel. Someone (objecting to him) said: Has Allah Almighty not made you free from this? He replied: Why not, but my intention is to remove arrogance from (my soul) through this, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “A person who has even a mustard seed’s weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise.”
